Description
The fourth generation of the Chevrolet Impala proved to be the most popular yet, becoming the first to sell over one million units and offering the broadest range of body styles and engine options. By 1967, buyers had a choice of six different body styles including 2- and 4-Door Sedans, a 2-Door Sport Coupe, a 4-Door Sports Sedan, a Convertible, or a Wagon, all of which were restyled for the ‘67 model year to feature a more exaggerated “coke bottle” shape. Virtually limitless customization was available through a variety of sport packages, power luxury options, 15 exterior colors, and two-tone interior color schemes. The fourth generation Impala was immensely popular in period and remains so today, becoming a popular platform for “resto mods” with modern drivetrains and equipment to blend convenience with their coveted ‘60s styling.
