1964 Chevrolet C30 One-Ton Stakebed Cold Start and Walkaround

1964 Chevrolet C30 One-Ton Stakebed Idle and Walkaround
Description
Styling updates for Chevrolet’s new-for-1964 line of pickup trucks concentrated mostly on the “massive” double walled and box-sectioned cab with a flatter windshield design. The variety of models increased as well with Chevrolet declaring, “More truck... and more trucks for ‘64!” No less than 70 trucks were available from the full-line selector with the C and K variants the most plentiful among them. Beginning in 1960 Chevrolet’s nomenclature had changed with the “C” prefix being short for “Conventional,” or two-wheel-drive and the “K” prefix continued to signify the presence of four-wheel-drive. The modern specialty aftermarket fully supports this generation of Chevy truck, with reproduction items and regular service parts both easily found in the modern retail parts chain stores, making them especially easy to own.
