1988 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL
Description
The R107 generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL was available from 1971 until 1989, culminating in the range-topping 560 SL, only available to North American, Australian, and Japanese markets from 1986 to 1989. Boasting a 5.5-liter V8 engine paired with a smooth four-speed automatic transmission, the 560 SL featured a removable hard top or soft top, allowing this car to transform from a suave coupe into a wonderfully stylish roadster. The Mercedes-Benz SL creates a sense of automotive individualism that is configurable to whatever the mood may be with the variety of roof configurations. The timeless design of the R107 made it a style icon of its era and a beloved classic today, complete with the virtues of Mercedes-Benz engineering quality.
