Description
Eager to demonstrate the scorching performance of their new ‘V-Power by Vortech’ supercharger, the team at Vortech Engineering partnered with All-American SuperCars (ASC) to produce a special-edition Ford Mustang for SEMA in 2006. The first-of-its-kind ‘Vortech Edition’ Mustang began life as a new fifth-generation (2005-2014) Mustang GT chassis equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, three-valve V8. Far from standard is the V-2 SQ Si-Trim supercharger with an air-to-water charge cooler, capable of generating eight pounds of boost and an estimated 515 horsepower at the flywheel. To accommodate the added muscle, ASC fitted each Vortech Edition Mustang with JBA shorty headers, a JBA axle-back exhaust system, an LPF radiator, and a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. Underneath, Ford Racing Performance Parts springs, shocks, and sway bars, along with BMR lower control arms and an adjustable Panhard rod keep this pony car glued to the road. Completing the package is a custom silver and blue Vortech livery courtesy of California Custom, 3dCarbon front and rear spoilers, and a full Katzkin leather interior. One of just 100 Vortech Edition Mustangs built by ASC and sold through select Ford dealers, this furiously fast custom Mustang is primed for further enjoyment having covered only 32,887 miles from new.
