1995 Ford Mustang GT Convertible
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Mustang’s 30th anniversary was celebrated with the long-awaited replacement for the 15-year-old, third-generation pony. Code named SN-95, this Mustang was 80 percent new, and design director Patrick Schiavone even brought back some elements of the original Mustang in its sweeping new exterior.
Performance enthusiasts were pleased with the redesigned 5.0-liter V8, which used a nine to one compression ratio, two valves per cylinder, sequential fuel injection, and a dual exhaust system to crank out 215 horsepower. And a new rack and pinon steering and strut front/multilink rear sport suspension, along with the finely tuned dampers and four-wheel disc brakes, provided a supple ride and lively handling when the road got curvy. The new pony car’s drop top design was surprisingly sophisticated: Mustang Convertibles were built with engine compartment bracing and rocker panels with heavier-gauge steel for structural integrity. And they came standard with a glass rear window, power windows, power locks, and a remote decklid release.
This 1995 Mustang GT Convertible catches your eye with a modified body, updated chrome rims, a roll bar, and Mustang graphics on the outside, plus white-faced gauges, custom HVAC knobs, and an aftermarket stereo system on the inside.
