Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Seven years into the C4’s 13-year production run, the 1990 Chevrolet Corvette received some considerable updates. While the new ZR-1 grabbed the headlines, the base model Corvette Coupe and Convertible received a 5.7-liter OHV V8 engine with Tuned-Port Fuel Injection that produced 250 horsepower. Standard on all models were an engine cooler, a driver’s side airbag, 17 inch wheels, and ABS-II anti-lock brakes. The Corvette also introduced the Supplemental Inflatable Airbag system on the driver’s side and added a glovebox to the passenger side.
The cabin of the 1990 Corvette was thoroughly revised and smoothed many of the all-too-1980s right angles of previous models. The new interior design featured a curving, driver-centric layout that would be honored in the interior of the later C7 Corvette, and the 1990 model also received a new instrument panel. Gone was the fully digital setup in recent models, replaced by a hybrid configuration that combined a digital speedometer with analog tachometer and secondary gauges.
This 1990 Corvette Convertible is a three-owner car that has spent its entire life in Michigan. The odometer shows 63,423 actual miles (confirmed by CARFAX), an average of 1,865 miles per year.
