Select the Ford F-250 model year you want to research current market prices for
While the F-150 is the best-known and most popular of Ford’s long-running F-Series line, the heavier duty F-250 has been a mainstay of work, farm and commercial trucks for decades. When the early Ford F-Series pickups evolved during the 1960s, the 1/2-ton F-1 became the F-100 and the 3/4-ton F-2/F-3 became the F-250. The Ford F-250 occupied the space above the lighter-duty and more consumer-oriented 1/2-ton F-100 and F-150 but below the 1-ton F-350. In 1999, Ford split the F-Series between the F-150 that remains so popular with everyday consumers and the heavy-duty series called the “Super Duty,” which includes the F-250. Their beefier chassis makes for heavier payloads and higher towing capacities.
