Get ready for a Scandinavian design love-in.

Christian von Koenigsegg and chief designer Sasha Selipanov meet Polestar’s CEO Thomas Ingenlath and head of design Maximilian Missoni meet up to shoot the breeze in this just-released video. They bring together their two pillarless four-seaters, the Koenigsegg Gemera and the Polestar Precept concept car, which were both supposed to be unveiled at the canceled Geneva Motor Show.

We get to see a few details of these intriguing cars, which take a wildly different approach to moving four people at luxurious speed and discover some of their similarities. But mostly this is a chance for the car bosses to muse on the future.

These Swedish firms are design-driven; indeed, Ingenlath is one of very few car designers to make it to the top job at a car maker, and that’s clearly reflected in the company’s trajectory so far.

Koenigsegg, meanwhile, confesses he doesn’t build his exotic cars for profit. “The reason we do this is to show the world you can fulfill your dreams. We allow people to realize that you can do anything if you put your mind to it,” he says.
