Transform Your Car Collection with This Decepticon Mustang

Curated Vintage Supercars

A 2016 Ford Mustang that featured in Transformers: The Last Knight is for sale.

The car, which starred as the evil Decepticon Barricade in the 2017 Mark Wahlberg blockbuster, was extensively modified for its movie role, with additions including a carbon rear wing and side skirts, a light bar, front crash bars, a raised hood with huge scoops, and additional spot lamps. Look closely and you’ll also see deliberate gaps in the rear bumper and front fascia to suggest the various hinges that allow it to transform from motor vehicle to battle bot. The headlamps are the cold eyes of Barricade.

The metallic blue paintwork is paired with a police livery that replaces the traditional “To Protect and Serve” slogan with “Keep Calm and Hail Megatron.”

Beneath the sci-fi exterior this Mustang is standard, with power coming from the regular five-liter V-8, driving a manual transmission. That gave it 435 hp at 6500 rpm and the ability to hit 60 mph from rest in 4.3 seconds—just the kind of performance you need to go up against the Autobots. The car’s interior is also as it left the factory, apart from a pair of handles to direct the powerful spot lamps.

In Transformers: The Last Knight Barricade is a hardened veteran and spy for Decepticon leader Megatron, battling the Autobots Bumblebee, Drift and Crosshairs in a fight that crosses the Atlantic to the U.K. where he also fights the British Army.

Despite most of the movie being created in CGI, the car is supplied with documentation to verify its on-screen activity, including a certificate signed by director Michael Bay, and has covered only 800 miles since new, including its international adventures.

With just a couple of cosmetic damages, this looks like a solid buy if you want to own some memorabilia from the Transformers saga

Hopefully it’s still affordable as many of the remaining iconic cars from the Fast series have skyrocketed…

Was this movie even a rental back when it was a rental? Something for the kids to watch. Can’t say I’ve seen it. The ‘Transformers’ Camaros were silly enough, this is just silly part three.

Wasn’t a bad movie, but do prefer the original barricade style over this one. Feels more over the top where the first one was dark and deceptive like a Decepticon should be.
