This as-new Ferrari 512TR has turned up Down Under

Lorbek Luxury Cars

A 1994 Ferrari 512 TR, believed to be the lowest-mileage model on the market, is up for sale in Melbourne, Australia.

Lorbek Luxury Cars says the car has covered just 1034 km (642 miles) in the last 26 years. The Rosso Corsa paintwork is unblemished, the beige leather interior has barely been sat in and the five-liter flat-12 engine hasn’t even been fully run in.

This time capsule Ferrari was originally sold to an owner in Singapore who covered just 450 km (279 miles) on the tropical island before it was sold to an Australian Ferrari fan later in 1994. That owner clearly preferred to look at the car rather than drive it, as it has covered less than 600 miles since. The carpets are still wrapped in the plastic from the factory, for goodness’ sake.

It is claimed that the car has been kept in storage as part of a major collection and only driven four times in Australia. Four times!

The right-hand-drive model is offered for sale at AUD $559,990 ($424,000) excluding taxes. A #1-condition (Concours) 512 TR at $193,000 so even with the exceptionally low mileage the price seems ambitious, don’t you think?
