Ringbrothers transforms Madam V Cadillac from concept car to street sleeper
Ringbrothers, the custom car builders from Spring Green, Wisconsin, known for churning out high-powered classic muscle cars, unveiled one of its most ambitious creations at SEMA in 2016. Madam V is a 1948 Cadillac coupe that was completely rebuilt around the drivetrain and chassis of a Cadillac ATS-V. The modern Cadillac’s twin-turbo V-6 and world-class suspension combined nicely with the sleek lines of the Cadillac coupe that introduced the brand’s first fins, inspired by the gorgeous P-38 Lightning fighter aircraft.
Ringbrothers’ major body modifications were highlighted by a new grille and fascia that melded the classic Cadillac lines with the shapes and textures of 21st-century V-series models. Now, Ringbrothers has revealed that Madam V went under the knife yet again to return more of its classic trim. The result is a true sleeper with remarkable style.
It’s still packing the same 464-hp ATS-V powertrain, but thanks to its new bodywork and wheels, it can fly totally under the radar.
Opening the doors reveals that the modern Cadillac also donated its sporty luxury interior. The infotainment, rear backup camera, and even the rain-sensing wipers from the new Cadillac are all still functional in Madam V, but now onlookers will have to take a much closer look to get wind of what’s lurking beneath this classic body. The car’s new persona is much more subtle.
SEMA 2020 just wasn’t the same without in-person car debuts and product releases, but we bet that Ringbrothers has another amazing build to debut for 2021.
