Ringbrothers Teases Three Feature Builds Ahead of SEMA
Each year, companies bring their best vehicle builds to the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) show in Las Vegas in order to highlight their newest products and capabilities. Ringbrothers never fails to unveil something special, and each time a cover comes off it’s guaranteed to draw a huge crowd. For the 2024 SEMA show, held November 5–8, Ringbrothers is showing off of a trio of debuts that represent a variety of styles.
“Infected” is a 1970 Plymouth ’Cuda that features a hood scoop with exposed carbon fiber, a custom cowl, and an extended wheelbase with one-off fenders. Nestled under the hood is an 807-hp Hellcrate Redeye V-8 mated to a manual transmission. Very secretive about the color scheme, Ringbrothers said it’s “taking a stand against the endless shades of gray saturating the modern car market with a high-impact color some may deem polarizing.” Investigating the photos closely didn’t reveal much more besides some hockey stick graphics. The unveiling takes place on Tuesday, November 5, at 11 a.m. Leave room on your schedule, as you’ll want to poke around this one. Everyone at SEMA is welcome to come by the Ringbrothers booth to see it. Tell us what you think about the paint scheme once it’s been unveiled.
“Tuka” is a 1972 Chevy Blazer that features a Trans-Am–inspired phoenix hood graphic and a shaker hood scoop. Ringbrothers was light on the details, but compared to Infected, at least there are some colors to share. The image in the center of the gallery above seems to be the intake manifold, which we’re guessing is the top of a fuel-injected tunnel ram. That’s not much to go on. No matter how the engine shakes down, this one promises to be another detailed build with plenty of custom touches to set it apart. We’ve driven a Ringbrothers K5 before and expect this will also feature a modern chassis allowing it to drive much better than the original. The wraps will come off Tuka on November 5 at 1 p.m. in the Gentex booth, #23889.
Finally, “Invadr” is a 1987 Buick Grand National. Unlike some recent high-profile GN restomods, this one seems to stick to the original Buick V-6 but goes way beyond what you might expect. The 3.8-liter engine powering Invadr is twin-turbocharged to the tune of 1246 horsepower. It will also be unveiled at 1 p.m. at the Gentex booth. We can imagine it will be a popular destination, because who isn’t interested in taking a peek under the hood to see how the V-6 makes all that power.

Looking forward to seeing all of them next week!
OK, I’m interested in the Grand National. I love those cars.
I wholly agree about the lack of color today, and my driveway reflects this. I have a white car and my wife a gray one. All of my older stuff had color. Even beige has more presence. (Actual beige, not that “champagne” color prevalent nowadays.) Yellows, reds, blues, and greens are preferred. At least by me.
If it’s polarizing I can’t wait to see what that ‘Cuda looks like! I’ll probably like it. A lot. 😀
