A unique art car will be auctioned off to benefit Suisseculture Sociale, a non-profit that supports Swiss artists that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Porsche Schweiz AG and RM Sotheby’s have teamed up for the online-only auction of a Taycan 4S that is cloaked in striking artwork by American artist Richard Phillips.

The art car was created during a live event in December 2020 at the Leuehof pop-up restaurant in Zurich. Richard Phillips’ 2010 painting Queen of the Night was transferred to vinyl that was then wrapped over the electric car’s curves by SIGNal Design. In addition to the vivid flowers and succulents adorning the exterior, Richard Phillips’ signature is projected onto the ground when the door is opened, which also reveals an illuminated inscription of Queen of the Night on the door sill.

This unique Taycan 4S will be on display on two locations leading up to the auction, followed by another just after the sale. It’s currently parked the Porsche Center in Geneva and starting March 22 it will move to the Porsche Center in Zurich. After the auction, it has one more stop at Porsche Center Zug before going hone with the winning bidder. As a bonus, the winning bidder will also get a personal tour of Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen to learn more about the Taycan.

RM Sotheby’s has waived all additional fees, so all auction proceeds for this lot will benefit Suisseculture Sociale. Bidding begins April 6 and closes April 13. There’s no reserve, so a lucky bidder will be taking home this shapely, one-of-one rolling mural just in time for spring. Who knows? This could be the Joplin 356 of the 2020s.
