Meet the rear of Acura’s hot new V-6 TLX Type S sports sedan

On May 28, Acura will launch its second-generation TLX, promising it to be “the quickest, best-handling and most well-appointed sport sedan in Acura history.” Of course to get the full experience, you’ll have to buy the Type S variant, powered by Acura’s brand new turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6.

A week before the reveal, Acura sent out a teaser showing the rear of the 2021 TLX Type S, with the image revealing a wider stance, quad exhausts, and even a mild diffuser.

At Monterey Car Week last August, Acura displayed its Type S Concept, a preview of its design direction that can help us make an educated guess at what the rest of the new all-wheel-drive TLX Type S could look like. If you’d rather hear the turbocharged V-6 under its hood, just hit play:
