Yukon Cornelius is gonna love this. Gold Rush paint is back! That’s happy holiday news whether you’re a fan of the Dodge Challenger or the animated classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer—or both.

As our own Jack Baruth pointed out recently, Dodge continues to give buyers what they want, and that includes bringing back Gold Rush, an exterior paint color first introduced on the 50th Anniversary Limited Edition commemorating the Challenger’s golden anniversary. Dealers can begin ordering the popular color on 2021 Dodge Challenger models this month; it is available on T/A, T/A 392, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye models. SRTs must be equipped with the Satin Black hand-painted hood, roof, and decklid.

Dodge executive Tim Kuniskis says it’s all about listening to enthusiasts’ desire to own something exclusive and admired. In addition to offering a wide variety of performance models and powertrains, Dodge also has “the same mindset when it comes to our extensive exterior color options,” says Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars—Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA—North America. “By bringing back Gold Rush to a few of our 2021 Challenger models, we’re giving our enthusiasts yet another option to make their muscle car even more unique.”

In addition to Gold Rush, available paint colors on the 2021 Challenger include Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green, and Go Mango.

Topping the list of new options on the Challenger: the R/T Scat Pack Shaker and T/A 392 can now be ordered with the Widebody Package, which offers “heritage appointments” and improved performance with wider wheels and tires. In addition, 20-inch wheels now standard on Challenger GT AWD and are available on SXT AWD, and there is SRT branding on high-performance Brembo brakes on Challenger SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye (also available on the Scat Pack).

Overall, we dig it. And so would a certain animated prospector.
