Get Jurassic Park decals for your Jeep while you can
Filmmaker Steven Spielberg knew Jurassic Park was going to be big even before the book was published, and he shelled out $1.5 million to author Michael Crichton for the film rights. He anted up another $500,000 for Crichton to help write the screenplay.
He drove a bargain. Before long, Spielberg’s movie had surpassed $917 million in ticket sales during its theatrical release, eventually clearing a cool $1 billion. The film went on to garner three Academy Awards, but none, to the disappointment of Jeep enthusiasts, were for one of the most important characters: The now-iconic 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara that appeared in the film.
In 2023, the 30th anniversary of the movie, you can commemorate the Jurassic Park YJ by ordering up one of the limited-edition—100 only!—decal packages that appeared on the Jeep.
Jeep Graphic Studio will sell you a numbered set that fits on the 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler, 2021–2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, or 2020–2023 Jeep Gladiator.
The offer is “exclusive” and limited,” we’re told. The complete package for the Jeep body and the transfer case is $650. Click on JeepGraphicStudio.com to order.

I’m sure some people will do it but it’s just silly to me.
As long as the velociraptors go along with the joke, they’ll be fine. Don’t sign any disclaimers, though.
If you write to Mattel they’ll send you a set from the toy version for free.
