Easter Jeep Safari 2021 is back on
Situated in the east of Utah near both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, Moab is a natural fueling station for campers and adventurers year-round. For nine days every year, however, it becomes a full-fledged, off-road mecca. When Red Rock 4-Wheelers (RR4W) hosts Easter Jeep Safari (EJS), Jeeps and 4x4s of all description join up to caravan through gullies and over slickrock to tackle the many challenging trails of Moab that highlight the area’s scenic beauty.
Since 1967, EJS has been held in Moab every year—with the sole exception of 2020, when the event was canceled due to COVID-19. SEMA has reported that the Grand County Commission administrator, Chris Baird, has plans to amend the ordinance that would have canceled 2021’s event just like it did last year’s. Baird requested that “EJS attendees, RR4W members, and the four-wheeling community send letters to the county commission in support of the amendment to the ordinance here: commission@grandcountyutah.net.” The amendment is set to take place on February 16.
Aside from the trail rides that take place over the nine-day event, EJS also serves as one of the Jeep brand’s biggest venues to showcase new concept vehicles. For years, Jeep’s customized off-roaders unveiled at EJS have shown customers what’s possible with Jeep 4x4s and have offered a look into the future of its factory offerings.
This year’s event is scheduled to take place from Saturday, March 27 through Sunday, April 4. Registration for EJS will open in the following order:
- Leader/Helper Pre-registration: Tuesday, February 16, 10:00 a.m. (MST)
- Member Registration: Friday, February 19, 10:00 a.m. (MST)
- General Registration: Tuesday, February 23, 10:00 a.m. (MST)
If you plan on heading to Utah to air down and hit the trail, stay safe and tread lightly!
