Want a Z06 Corvette? That’ll be $106,395, please
Break open the piggy bank: Chevrolet released pricing today on the 2023 Corvette Z06, and it is expensive but not outrageous. The base 1LZ model starts at $106,395, including $1395 in shipping. The rundown:
–1LZ: $106,395 for the coupe, $113,895 for the convertible.
–2LZ: $115,595 for the coupe, $122,595 the drop top.
–3LZ: $120,245 for the coupe, $127,245 for the ragtop.
That’s it, thankfully, since we were running out of different terms to describe the convertible.
The engine, of course, is the much-anticipated 5.5-liter, flat-plane-crank V-8 (LT6) with 670 horsepower and a redline of 8600 rpm. Transmission is a dual-clutch, eight-speed automatic. It’s the most powerful naturally aspirated (the last Z06 was supercharged) V-8 to be installed in a production car.
The Z07 Performance Package, which you will want of course, is $8995 and includes the FE7 suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Cup 2R ZP tires, and underbody strakes. It requires an additional Carbon Aero Package with either Visible or Carbon Flash-Painted components, which will cost you $10,495 for the Visible package, $8495 for the Flash-Painted package. It gets you a carbon fiber splitter, rockers, dive planes and spoiler.
Carbon-fiber wheels are also offered and provide a 41-pound reduction in unsprung weight. They cost $11,995 for Visible Carbon Fiber, $9995 for Flash-Painted.
Pricing for the C8 Z06 tops out at $158,730 for a loaded—uh, convertible.
Production begins in September.
