2019 Charger SRT Hellcat gets custom details and Demon tech

Following on the heels of another teaser of their Elephant crate engine, Dodge announced that the Charger SRT Hellcat will be available with blue, red, and silver stripes for the first time, joining the gunmetal gray and carbon options that had previously been offered.

“The dual-center, full-length, exterior stripe design covers the front and rear fascias, roof, and deck lid, and is tailored around the signature NACA duct-hood vent to emphasize the Charger model’s aggressive yet functional design,” according to a press release.

If this is your first time hearing about the 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat, rest assured that “bold new graphics” aren’t the only addition this year. Although there’s no RedEye version of the Charger, some of the Demon’s go-fast goodies have trickled down to the four-door Hellcat, including the After-Run Chiller that uses the air conditioning to cool the pressurized intake air and Torque Reserve, which works in concert with launch mode to help the Charger leave the line with plenty of boost on tap.

Perhaps collectors in the future will use the stripes to get even more granular to ensure that they can brag that their Hellcat was “one-of-one.” For now, we applaud manufacturers that give buyers more options to personalize their vehicles, especially when they come alongside performance upgrades, two things that Dodge has certainly kept up with on the Charger.
