The 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise in photos

The Woodward Dream Cruise claims to be the world’s largest one-day automotive event, and it’s difficult to argue otherwise. On August 18, more than one million people and 40,000 classic and collector cars converged on Detroit and its northern suburbs to cruise along iconic Woodward Avenue.

Although cruising America’s first highway (M-1) has been a popular activity for decades, the first official Dream Cruise was held in August 1995 and drew an estimated 250,000 people—10 times the number expected. The rest is history. Now enthusiasts come from all over the world to enjoy the annual automotive celebration.

We couldn’t photograph all 40,000 vehicles that were there, but we did our best to capture the spirit of the Woodward Dream Cruise in this photo gallery. Enjoy!
