First-Ever Hagerty Drivers Club Days a High-Octane Success!
The first-ever Hagerty Drivers Club Days are now in the rearview mirror, and based on the numbers, it was a great success! Hagerty Drivers Club is for people who love all things automotive, and we celebrated these members with HDC Days—a weekend of amazing deals on automotive accessories, cool contests, as well as epic events and experiences.
“We wanted a special way to recognize our amazing HDC members, and just one day didn’t seem like enough,” says Erkin Akbiyik, director of membership. “So we came up with an entire weekend to celebrate.”
In addition to the events, deals, and contests, we’re also giving HDC members the chance to help choose the cover of the September/October 2024 issue of the Hagerty Drivers Club magazine. Members can vote for one of three different covers, and voting is open now through July 18. So far, almost 300 members have cast their vote. You can learn more about the cover-selection process here. Not a member? You can join the Hagerty Drivers Club here!
Here’s a snapshot of HDC Days by the numbers:
- Total number of events: 28
- Number of checked-in HDC members: 1021 (with guests, more than 2000!)
- Total dollar amount HDC members saved: $12,627.79
Epic Contests
We knew not everyone would be able to join us at one of our regional events, so we created multiple contests to give HDC members the opportunity to create their own virtual event. Members could enter contests by submitting miles, hashtagging, submitting their vehicle information to Coker Tire or joining Mobil 1’s DR1VERS CLUB.
It was a big success—here are the numbers:
- Total number of contest entries: 3211*
- Total miles driven by contestants: 126,004
- Number of states driven in by contestants: 43
- Number of Canadian provinces driven in by contestants: 7
Comments from Get Out and Drive contestants:
We decided to make this HDC Get Out and Drive sightseeing cruise part of our (belated) celebration of our 42nd wedding anniversary. We drove our 2015 Competition Orange Mustang GT convertible. The first stop was dinner. After dinner we headed for a local lake to enjoy the cool breezes and view. From there we headed for the oldest covered bridge in the state of Ohio still in service, located in Newton Falls. After the covered bridge we were off to another local lake, Lake Milton. Our last stop was for ice cream cones at Handel’s, a well-known local tradition. A celebration of multiple occasions for HDC Days! – Thomas
My family loaded up in our 1965 Ford Mustang and drove around our beautiful small towns here in western New York. We drove along the Erie Canal, stopped and had ice cream at one of our favorite stands. The dusk/evening temperature was beautiful and the little 289 hummed along perfectly! My kids love taking cruises in our car and always ask for me to “go fast” so they can feel the wind whip by. – Greg
I recently bought a 1961 Corvette via a Hagerty Marketplace auction. The Vette was in Denver and I live near Atlanta, so I decided to fly to Denver on a Friday and drive it back over the weekend! I pulled into my driveway in Jefferson around 8 p.m. Sunday evening, roughly 53 hours and 1500 miles after my journey had begun. It was a great trip in an amazing car, one that I will never forget! – Cameron
Fantastic trip with approximately 20 cars traveling from Southern California to Crater Lake, Oregon, and back for a total of more than 1500 miles. Stopped at multiple National Parks along the way. Miles and miles of amazing scenery and lots of camaraderie with new and old friends. – Connie

We had no events in Texas that I saw but I drove my car either way!
Thank you for a great day in Burlington, Ontario. It was a good turn out despite the rain for most of the event. Good BBQ, refreshments and a comfortable venue to relax while waiting for the rain to stop. Because of the rain, I did not take any photos, but I was wondering if any of the staff took any photos that could be posted sometime. Thanks again.
The HDC drive over some great backroads to lunch in Napa was an excellent in every way. Scenic views, great roads for sports car drivers, perfect pace. The lunch place was very good. I think it’s fair to say everyone really enjoyed the day.
