Rollin’ Into the Weekend Like: A Homemaker with Her Own Ford
Nobody likes to be the one stuck at home. Why should Dave have all the fun with the car just because he’s out on business? She’s got business to take care of, too, goshdarnit. Like getting out to see friends, managing all of those PTA duties, and shopping for the things that make this suburban house a home.
Thankfully, hers is a Ford home, and Dave’s doing well, so they added a Customline Victoria to the driveway, leaving the missus with the Ranch Wagon all to herself.

Priced at $2093 for the six-cylinder and $2193 for the V-8, the Customline was Ford’s intermediate trim, placed between the Mainline and Fairlane models. Today, you’ll find #3 (good condition) drivers for about $11,500–$15,000, depending on engine and options, which means they’re still great value—for PTA nights or Sunday afternoon ice cream runs.
