Häagen-Dazs Teases Muscle Car Chase Super Bowl Commercial

Häagen-Dazs

Super Bowl LIX is just a few days away. This year, the City of Brotherly Love Cheesesteaks is battling Kansas City Team Swiftie, who is hoping for a repeat (no, not a three-peat—Team Swiftie didn’t care about Super Bowl LVII). Despite the displays of gridiron grit and strategy, plenty of viewers will be tuning in for the commercials and halftime show. We know Jeep will try to make a splash during this year’s big game, but they won’t be alone in delivering a message using automobiles as a medium.

Häagen-Dazs gave us a taste of what to expect a few weeks ago when it released a quick teaser video of a 1970 Chevelle SS doing a burnout, and now they’ve added a bit more action and some context. The short clip, just 15 seconds, shows a 1970 Chevelle SS and a 1966 Plymouth Satellite engaged in an early morning pursuit headed west over Los Angeles’ iconic 4th Street Bridge while a seemingly unwitting Häagen-Dazs delivery driver makes his rounds. Are we going to see an homage to classic car chase scenes, or perhaps a celebrity cameo? We’re not sure muscle cars make us crave Salted Brown Butter Cookie ice cream, but we’re always willing to indulge in both and look forward to finding out what’s next.

As long as they destroy another ’70 Chevelle, which seems to be de rigeur for anything on film these days. Sigh…

BTW, everyone in town who has interacted with TS says she’s as awesome nice as you could hope for. All y’all haters say the same thing. See you folks in Nawlins in a week.

I like the cars, the Ice Cream is “meh”. I’m bored with the NFL so I might miss all the boring commercials. This looks to possibly one of the few that isn’t boring.

You do know in Philly we have HOAGIES too. NOT subs that’s for the rest of them that know no better. Try an old fashioned Italian some day, it’s a delicacy. FY……… you can do better than Pat’s or Geno’s if you crave a good cheesesteak.
