Betsy Ranks As Favorite Car Name

A contest to find the best car names at Precision Tune auto care centers found that Betsy is the most popular name for people who name their cars. Baby came in second in the survey, which could be completed online or in Precision Tune shops. Of the 400-plus entries, some 21 percent used human names for their cars; 14 percent named them some variation of the car’s color. Some of the better names: Holy Roller, a 1998 Mercury Sable owned by an Oklahoma pastor; Blue Flame, a pizza delivery truck in Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and Connie Celica, of Herndon, Va.
