Enormous 200-car barn find up for no-reserve auction

VanDerBrink auctions has yet another barn-find-style auction on its hands with the James Graham Collection sale slated for this weekend. There are so many classic ’30s, ’40s, ’50, and ’60s American cars and trucks that VanDerBrink didn’t even bother counting them all; it only noted that there are somewhere around 200 cars and trucks up for grabs, and nearly 75 of them are convertibles.

In the listings, we spotted everything from factory Ford Model A coupes to a slew of ’60s Cadillac convertibles and seven Pontiacs (I checked). While some cars stand in severe need of restoration, others look as if they could drive away from the auction with nothing more than a tune up. Some appear to be mid-restoration.

James Graham was a farmer and loved vintage tractors, as well. Dozens of John Deere tractors are up for grabs, with a few Farmalls and Allis Chalmers thrown in for variety.

Online bidding is currently live, so if it’s too last-minute to haul a trailer to the site, you can take a look at the lots here and place your bids. So far, the highest bid is one of the most collectible pickups Chevrolet has ever built: the 1957 Cameo. Bidding is at $30,000 with two days left.

The Midwest auction company has a knack for bringing large, dusty collections out of garages and into the limelight. They also hosted the Lambrecht Chevrolet auction that garnered nationwide coverage and will have a trove of muscle cars available as part of the Coyote Johnson Collection auction in mid-September.

The James Graham Collection auction begins on-site on Saturday, August 10 at 5821 State Highway 27, Beardsley, Minnesota. The vehicles are all offered without reserve. If you happen to pick up one of these vehicles and get it back on the road, please let us know.
