Celebrate the freedom of the open road with this sweet t-shirt

The second annual Shop by Hagerty apparel design contest is done and dusted. After 250 submissions, including approximately three times the number of designs compared to last year’s contest, the winning design will be sold through The Shop, with profits going to help keep future drivers safe.

This year’s winner is Dave Hadam’s “Freedom.” We reached out to Dave to see what inspired his design.

“The shirt design is a variety of scenarios combined for the ‘perfect’ driving experience,” Dave says. “The view through the windshield is what I envision the ideal driving experience entails.  A winding road that leads off into parts unknown chasing a sunset along the way.  ‘Freedom’ is the feeling I experience in such a situation—it is more than just a word… more like a description of the way driving can lift the cares, concerns, and worries of life away with potential unexperienced possibilities over the horizon.”

The latest addition to the Shop collection can be purchased online along with last year’s winning design, “No. I’m not the original owner.” You can feel good about your purchase for two reasons: you get great car-themed clothing, and proceeds from all purchases through The Shop are donated to provide child safety seats for families in need.
