1992 Jaguar XJR-S Walk Around and Ride Along Video
Description
In 1988, JaguarSport was created as a collaboration between TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) and Jaguar. Of course, Jaguar needs no introduction, however, some may be unfamiliar with TWR and their production performance cars and racing successes. Race winners in the European Touring Car Championship in the early 1980s, by the end of the decade, TWR had fully blossomed, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a Jaguar XJR-9 in 1988. Further success followed with a Le Mans win in 1990. Along with the XJ220 and XJR-15, the XJR-S was the product of JaguarSport, which was hand-built in TWR's renowned Bloxham factory. The XJR-S JaguarSport boasts a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 329 horsepower thanks to its low-restriction intake and exhaust system, allowing this “Big Cat” to breathe easily and yield an impressive growl. To match this fantastic V12, the suspension of the standard luxury coupé was redesigned, elevating its handling to a level befitting the JaguarSport name. This incredible sporting pedigree is combined with a finely crafted Connolly Autolux leather interior, creating an ideal Grand Touring car.
This wonderful “British Racing Green” example was imported directly to the United States from Europe in 2017. Since its arrival, the car has benefited from servicing by New Age Automotive of West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2017 and at Northumberland Enterprises of Southampton, New York, in 2020. Today the car remains in superb condition and would surely be a welcome addition to any collection looking for an exceedingly rare and sporting Jaguar.
