1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Walk Around

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Cold Start
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The automobiles of Italian design house Pininfarina are known for displaying a certain timelessness. The Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce certainly carried on that tradition. Officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966 as simply the Alfa Romeo Spider 1600, the Pininfarina-styled open two-seater would undergo numerous changes over its nearly 30 years in production while retaining its original charm. Series 1 cars (1966-1969) featured the mechanicals from the 105-Series Giulia sedan. Numerous styling changes appeared on Series 2 cars (1970-1981), with the Spider’s distinctive “boat tail” revised to a Kamm tail for improved luggage space along with a larger 2.0-liter engine. Series 3 (1982-1989) Spiders brought further aesthetic tweaks including rubber bumpers, a new rear spoiler, and Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. The final, Series 4 iteration (1990-1993) arrived in North America in 1991, bringing full-width body-colored plastic bumpers, full-width rear taillights, Bosch Motronic fuel injection, power steering, and a driver’s airbag among other refinements.
Finished in that classic Italian combination of Rosso Alfa (red) with contrasting Beige leather upholstery, this two-owner 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce defines timelessness.
