1989 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4WD
Description
The rugged fourth-generation Bronco was released in 1987. A departure from the boxiness of previous years, the new two-door body had more rounded, sloping lines—an element that also carried over to the new interior. Fuel-injected engines debuted with a 4.9-liter six-cylinder and 5.0- and 5.8-liter V8s, matched with manual or automatic transmissions. Rear ABS was standard, and auto-locking hubs, limited-slip axles, and a heavy-duty suspension were optional. There were three trim levels, including the base Custom and mid-level XLT.
Buyers looking for the ultimate mix of off-road toughness and on-road luxury chose the top-level Eddie Bauer trim. The sleek exterior included tinted glass, chrome bumpers, and bright moldings and grille. Halogen headlights and wraparound taillights, deluxe wheels, and a swing-down tailgate with power window completed the look. The Eddie Bauer interior was also high-end: reclining captain’s chairs with a center console, leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and cruise, AM/FM/cassette player, A/C, and color-keyed carpet, door trim, and headliner were all standard.
This 1989 Eddie Bauer Bronco is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 and five-speed manual with overdrive. It is finished in Light Chestnut with the Colonial White rear roof and white body accent, and the Chestnut interior.
