Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
“The Corvette Stingray Convertible makes being under the weather a pleasure,” said Chevrolet in 1973. When powered by the new L82 performance engine, producing 60 more horsepower than the standard 350, “this 1973 Corvette is one of the best we’ve ever driven,” wrote Road & Track magazine. Now it its sixth year, the third generation (C3) Corvette Stingray featured either a T-Top Coupe or Convertible model, the exterior design characterized by voluptuous fender flares and vacuum-operated pop-up headlights. It also delivered a completely redesigned interior with an aircraft inspired instrument panel, and the well-proven chassis components from the C2. For 1973 the familiar chrome front bumper was replaced with a body-colored urethane bumper cover to meet new government impact standards and uniquely is the only year with the “soft” nose and “hard” tail.
This three-owner 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible features the popular Ontario Orange hue with optional Dark Saddle Leather interior. The brake calipers have been upgraded with stainless steel sleeves, addressing a well-known corrosion issue on C3 cars. Powered by the performance L82 350 cu-in with four-speed manual this well-preserved low-mile convertible continues to make being under the weather most pleasurable.
