Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Hagerty Marketplace is honored to offer another selection of vehicles from The SugarCreek Collection. This private collection in southwestern Ohio is supported by its own in-house restoration and maintenance shop, with a full-time staff of craftsmen. The garage is a true spectrum of car enthusiast dreams, ranging from unfinished restorations to the most recent sale of the SEMA-exhibited 1,000 HP 1962 Dodge Power Wagon, supporting the Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation. Thirty select cars from the collection are being offered just in time for spring. Whether awaiting restoration, preserved showroom stock, restored to like-new, or tastefully modified, these cars and trucks are truly SugarCreek quality. Bentley founder W.O. Bentley had a simple goal: “Make a fast car, a good car, the best in its class.” With that, the Bentley T2 represented the final iteration of the T-series, produced from 1965 to 1980. Though the T2 shared most components with the Silver Shadow, its character was decidedly more sporting in the renown Bentley tradition. Introduced in 1977, the T2 featured several enhancements over the original T1, including responsive power rack-and-pinion steering.
The T2 also boasted improved air conditioning, rubber-faced bumpers for added durability, and a redesigned fascia for a more modern interior look. The T2 was powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine, hand-built by Rolls-Royce engineers. This engine was paired with a GM-sourced three-speed automatic transmission. The T2’s suspension system featured independent suspension on all four wheels with automatic height control, enhancing ride comfort and stability. The interior was luxurious, featuring hand-built wood trims and high-quality leather upholstery. Bentley also re-arranged the instrument panel, moving most switches and buttons to the driver's side for better ergonomics. Each car underwent two 30-mile road tests before delivery.
Of course, the Bentley T2 was a most exclusive automobile; just 568 were produced between 1977 and 1980.
