Toyota restarted production of third- and fourth-generation Supra parts

We knew this was coming, but now we have the complete list of what Toyota Gazoo Racing’s TOYOTA GAZOO GR Heritage Parts Project holds for 2020. If you have a 1986–1993 Supra, from now on, you’ll be able to buy new driveshafts, door handles, fuel sender gauges, rubber weather strips, and front emblems from the factory. For the Mk IV 1994–2002 Supras, the list of fresh parts includes headlamps, door handles, and brake boosters.

As time goes by, finding parts for younger classics becomes more and more challenging. Yet manufacturers seem to be on the case now, with Mazda offering restoration parts for first-generation Miatas, and Nissan building RB26 Skyline straight-sixes again, along with roughly eighty more rare R32, R33, and R34 components. FCA Heritage also dusted off its old toolings so that replacement bumpers for Lancia Delta Integrales can be a thing.

Toyota’s new-old parts will be sold both domestically and overseas, including in North America and Europe. As you’d expect, the listed reproduced parts will be available from Toyota retailers in the same way as modern parts. This weekend, Toyota GR Heritage Parts will show off its hardware at the Tokyo Auto Salon, no doubt surrounded by a number of Supra fans.
