Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

2 seat convertible based on a Fiesta XR2 platform with 86hp 1.6 liter engine, full top and weather equipment. Built as an interl demonstration of the possibilities of the Fiesta platform at Bob Lutzs behest. Eventually put into production in Australia as a Cougar. Shows its age and the miles driven as a demonstrator but still presentable and definitely usable. Good door fits, even gaps, some paint blemishes, drivers seat covering stretched a little and the seat back bolster is rubbed through.

Market commentary

A one off Ghia built show car. Admittedly, its built on a Fiesta. Still, how many one off Ghia convertibles have been bought for $35,000
