Condition
#1 Concours
World-class. Could compete in the world’s best Concours d'Elegance events.
Two year restoration. Engine bay and underbody are show quality. Paint and interior are excellent apart from two small stains on one of the seats. Gaps are even. A few of the side windows have light scratches on them. Not perfect, but it's been given a ton of high quality attention and could definitely be shown casually. And with more than twice the power it came with from the factory, it will even be able to get out of its own way.
Market commentary
While $143,000 is a huge price, 21-window Sambas routinely ring the bell at Barrett-Jackson for some reason. This was a superb example, presented with all the kit that gets bidders excited. Very few unmodified Sambas have sold for more, but even still this amount isn't surprising. Whether or not it is worth this figure is another question.
