Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. One of two Alan Mann Racing European Touring Car Championship cars driven by Sir John Whitmore. 2nd in 64, 1st (8 wins in 8 starts) in 65 Retired in 1967 and bought by the present owner, J. Johansson in Sweden. Occasionally raced early, then refurbished and engine uprated with cams and new block and head with almost zero miles since. Includes spare Minilites, original (skinny) drivers seat and current FIA papers. Essentially like new and very historic.

Market commentary

This is a lot of money for a 2 liter touring car, but for a very successful and historic racing car with championship winning history it is not. A series winning Alfa GTA or BMW 2002 would bring as much. Cortinas are even more rare.
