Equipment
Sunroof, chrome wheels, AM FM, Super 90 badged. Believed to be the first Porsche Super 90. Chipped edges, clean but unrestored engine compartment, fair old repaint, decent interior, good chrome. Appears to be mostly original and sound accompanied by many records and claimed to be a factory demo later sold to a US dealer who kept it for many years.
Market commentary
Sold at the Barrett Jackson auction in Los Angeles in 2002 for $10,800 and unsold at Bonhams Quail Lodge auction last year at a reported bid of $35,000. The seller adjusted his expectations, and so did the market. A Porschephiles dream car, largely original, well maintained and the first of a noble breed.
