Watch the legendary Ferrari F40 play in the … dirt?

Hagerty Insider recently proved Ferrari owners actually drive their cars, but surely this wasn’t what most have in mind. In a fortunate stroke of luck from the entertainment (not the insurance) gods, we hereby bear witness to a few mad lads who deemed it wise to unshackle a repressed million-dollar machine, wheel it around a dirt circle, and film it all for the world to see. Our underwriters remain in disbelief.

Designed by Nicola Materazzi and styled by Pininfarina, the F40 commemorated Ferrari’s 40th anniversary. Even more significantly, it was the last prancing horse personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. Nothing in the F40’s description, however, suggests that one would find it and its turbocharged, 2.9-liter V-8 straight-piped on a dirt track, cackling into corners, and powersliding through them with dusty abandon. However, it’s 2021, and this modified F40 doesn’t seem to be missing blacktop in the slightest, as captured by the YouTube channel TheTFJJ.

If a book were written on how to properly own one’s Ferrari, there would be hundreds of alternate endings in as many different languages. For those about to drift in dirt (or not), we salute you.
