Our top five videos from 2016
We’ve had a fun time creating these films over 2016 and have been proud to share them with you along the way. Whether travelling around the U.S. with Tom Cotter finding neglected cars, rebuilding engines with Davin Reckow and Matt Lewis, finding time to goof off during Swap to Street, checking out a potential purchase with Stefan Lombard or just riding along in a clean, beautiful car, we love this stuff and know you do too.
So, if you find a moment during the holidays, please enjoy the following five videos and let us know what you’d like to see in 2017. We’re already planning…
Barn Find Hunter: Fresno, CA - Tom spends the day at Turner’s Auto Wrecking in Fresno, Calif., where he’s given free rein to explore the 70-acre property’s barns, sheds and hangars and discovers classic ‘60s muscle sedans and wagons, a perfect ’34 Ford, California ’57 Chevy and a 1910 Flanders.
Redline Rebuild: (Re)Built Ford Tough - Six days. More than 40,000 photos. One fully rebuilt Ford Flathead V-8. All boiled down to an intense 6-minute video.
Swap to Street - The challenge: Rebuild a 1930 Ford Model A from the frame using parts sourced entirely at the Hershey Swap Meet, then drive it home to Traverse City, Mich. Here's the entire build, condensed into just over 2 minutes.
VW Beetle Buyer’s Guide - Whether it's your first foray into the hobby or one car purchase of many, the instantly recognizable VW Beetle makes for a great collector vehicle.
Craftsmen: Steve Hogue - Steve Hogue has always been a body man. Thanks to his dad, he was in and out of various automotive specialty shops from a young age. Now he lives his dream, fabricating vintage auto bodies for a living.
Bonus: Our video team, Jordan Lewis, Justin Warnes and Ben Woodworth, handpicked this video because of the subject and the car: Peter Brock in his Shelby Cobra Daytona. Enjoy!
