Top Gear season 30 is ready for launch
Top Gear, the world’s most popular car show, will be back on BBC America on April 25, and from the looks of this trailer there’s plenty to look forward to.
The presenters, former cricketer Freddie Flintoff, comedian Paddy McGuinnes, and ex-Autocar journalist Chris Harris are used to globe-trotting adventures, but the coronavirus put paid to any exotic travel plans. This new season is based entirely in Britain, yet it doesn’t appear to have stopped the boys from enjoying themselves with all manner of motors.
There’s some serious off-roading in the new Land Rover Defender, a flying Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, and an Aerial Nomad; the Lamboghini Sián and Ferrari Roma get track tested, and the trio even take to two wheels. There’s an Eighties throwback road trip where the lads driver their dads’ old cars, a Ford Escort Mk2 rally car taking on a man with a jet pack and a 007 special featuring a Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5, and a tribute to the two-wheel driving Renault 11 from a View to a Kill.
Enjoy the trailer and tune in from 8 pm ET on April 25.
