Russo and Steele lands new Scottsdale venue for 2020

Less than four months after Russo and Steele filed a lawsuit against Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers/Leake Auction Company over the loss of its venue for Arizona Car Week—and three months after Ritchie Brothers asked a judge to throw it out—Russo has found a new home for its annual auction.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Russo will host its Scottsdale event January 15–20 at a 20+ acre site just south of the North 101 Freeway and Scottsdale Road. A press release says the site has high-profile visibility, easy access with ample parking, a significantly larger display area, and improved weather contingency.

“We are at the picture-perfect location for everything that has to do with Arizona Car Week,” Russo and Steele President and CEO Drew Alcazar said in a statement. “Our team has put together an incredible layout that gives sellers and buyers the best platform to experience an unforgettable year.”

Russo partnered with the City of Scottsdale and the Arizona State Land Department to secure the site, which is just north of the Penske Racing Museum.

“I’ve never been more excited to have that microphone in my hand and feel the crowd’s energy,” Alcazar said.
