Build your collection with a Porsche model kit from Mecum’s online auction

We’ve talked about Lego cars. And unsung car movies. Now, Mecum is offering automotive enthusiasts another distraction from the COVID-19 pandemic: an online auction of 40 Porsche model kit lots and scale-model cars that you can bid on right now.

In fact, if you’re into Porsches and model building, don’t wait. All of the lots end on March 27 between 1 p.m. and 1:39 p.m. CT.

Among the highlights is a group of seven Japanese Mitsuwa Porsche 956 and 962 “Egg” Model Kits, which at the time of this writing had received 17 bids and sits at $155; a Kemper 1:20 Kremer Porsche 935 Turbo (Group 5), also produced in Japan and currently $105; and a Porsche IMSA 962 Lowenbrau Special, from Portugal, at $105.

With 24 hours or so to go, some lots are $10 or less, including this Robbe Sonic-Sports 1:12 Porsche 924 Turbo, which now sits at $5.
