One-off custom Lamborghini SC18 is V-12 racing insanity

If Lamborghini is your brand of choice and you want to go racing, Squadra Corse is the team to talk to. Before now, Lamborghini’s factory motorsports division has been laser-focused on the Super Trofeo and Huracán GT3 Evo. These out-and-out race cars are their bread and butter, but for the first time, Squadra Corse has created a road-going car for one special client.

Named the SC18, it is based on the Lamborghini Aventador chassis and takes design cues and details from the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO and Huracán GT3 EVO race cars. The engine is a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 that bellows with 759 horsepower at 8500 rpm, the same as in the Aventador SVJ. A single-clutch seven-speed handles shifting duties and forgoes the Aventador’s all-wheel-drive in favor of a weight-saving rear-wheel-drive setup. Special cooling channels and exhaust complete the rear section of the one-off special.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a custom Lamborghini without liberal use of carbon fiber and generous application of multi-colored accents. The SC18 gets both, with a carbon-fiber body wrapping around a black interior with red stitching. The staggered wheels are 20-inch fronts with 21-inch rears, and are held on by a single nut at each corner. Racy.

This wild custom is truly a track car that is somehow street legal. The owner should take a road trip to a few of the great circuits to turn some laps, or else this would be a major missed opportunity. What do you think of this wild one-off? Let us know in the comments below.
