Alfa Romeo’s limited-edition Quadrifoglio NRING editions will cost $15,895 extra

To pay homage to the Nürburgring lap records set by the Quadrifoglio versions of the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV, Alfa Romeo will be making NRING Editions of both. Those editions are very limited, with just 110 units, 55 of each, to be available in North America.

In 2016, the Giulia Quadrifoglio turned in a time of 7 minutes and 32 seconds on the Nurburgring’s 12.9 mile, 73-turn Nordschleife course, giving Alfa Romeo the claim of building the fastest five-passenger vehicle in the world. The following year a Stelvio in Quadrifoglio trim completed the circuit in 7:57.7, which Alfa Romeo says gives it the fastest time for a production SUV sold in North America.

Though the NRING editions celebrate speed, they won’t be any faster than regular Quadrifoglio versions as both vehicles will still be powered by Alfa’s Ferrari-designed twin-turbo, intercooled, 505-horsepower, 2.9-liter V-6 engine from the standard Quadrifoglio editions.

The NRING Editions are painted matte Circuito Gray and come with carbon-fiber grille and side mirror housings. The Giulia versions get a carbon-fiber roof, and both models get side sills made of that composite, with illuminated sills on the Giulia. Red brake calipers with embossed white Alfa Romeo logos sit behind NRING specific, five-hole aluminum wheels, with 19-inch rims on the Giulia and 20s on the Stelvio. Dark “miron” badging completes the standard exterior changes while an ultra-high-performance Brembo carbon ceramic brake system with six piston calipers up front and four pistons in the back is optional.

Interior upgrades include a console inlay with serial number, carbon-fiber steering wheel and shifter bezel, two-tone red and black leather interior with red stitching, and a convenience package that includes a premium alarm system and advanced driver assists. Carbon fiber framed Sparco racing seats are also available.

Assembled in Italy, the NRING Editions will be available by mid-summer this year. The 2019 Giulia Quadrifoglio NRING will cost $91,485 and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio NRING $97,485, including destination charges, putting the cost of the NRING package at $15,895 over regular Quadrifoglio models.

If you want one, you had better get to your Alfa Romeo dealer or drop an email to sales@alfaromeo.com. A spokesman told Hagerty.com that as of today the NRING Editions are almost sold out.
