Lexus announced today that the RC F sports car will soldier into the 2021 model year, lead by a special-edition variant that pays homage to the birthplace of F, Lexus’ high-performance sub-brand.

It’s called the RC F Fuji Speedway Edition, and it’s named after the Temple of Speed on Mount Fuji, the home of the F performance brand. The Fuji-edition cars get nifty carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo, a smattering of carbon-fiber aerodynamic elements, and a titanium exhaust. We’re especially fond of that last upgrade, because Lexus’ 5.0-liter V-8 is already one of the best sounding engines in existence today—let it sing, we say.

You can have your RC Fuji in one of two colors: Arctic Blast Satin or Cloudburst Gray. Lexus says that the Arctic Blast Satin is a semi-matte white paint that is durable enough to stand up to an automatic car wash, whose Christmas-tree-sized scrubbers have long tormented matte paint jobs. It’s a handsome color, and we bet it looks nice speckled with melted rubber after a day of hard lapping. After all, close followers of the Lexus brand will note that this is basically the RC F Track Edition by another name.

Lexus will make just 60 Fuji editions, so act fast. Each one comes with a special automatic watch from MSTR, replete with a gunmetal bezel, red band stitching, and Fuji speedway and F logos.
