You can finally hear the V-12 scream of the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2

What’s better than seeing the latest images of the stunning 799-horsepower Monza SP1 and SP2 speedsters? Hearing them in action—and you can do just that with Ferrari’s recently released teaser for these Cavallino-inspired cars.

The video is a feast for both the eyes and ears, as the one- and two-seater beasts from Maranello fire up their 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V-12s for a rip through the Italian countryside. Here’s hoping future owners of these raw, open-top machines will feel the need to exercise them on twisting backroads, rather than relegating them to stationary garage-art status.

As we reported when originally announced in September, ownership of either the Monza SP1 and SP2 will be chosen by Ferrari a case-by-case basis. That is, Ferrari will be limiting the sale of these super cars to “dedicated clients” only. Only 499 are being produced, at a price of $1.75 million each, so you’re about twice as likely to see a Porsche 918. But hey, we can still dream, right?
