Whether you’re buying or not, now you can build your dream 2020 Supra
Still thinking about the all-new 2020 Toyota Supra? The full online configurator for the GR Supra is now live, so you can play to your heart’s content. Potential customers and wishful thinkers alike can choose from three trim levels: the base GR Supra 3.0, which starts at $50,920, the GR Supra 3.0 Premium, which starts at $54,920, and the Launch Edition at $56,180, including delivery. All models are powered by the same turbocharged, 335-hp B58 3.0-liter inline-six, made by BMW, driving through an eight-speed, paddle-shifted automatic transmission.
The fifth-generation Supra was developed in cooperation with BMW and shares the Z4’s platform and drivetrain. It has a 50:50 weight balance and has a claimed 0–60 mph time of just 4.1 seconds.
Although the powertrain is standard across the lineup, there are still a handful of options. You can configure the GR Supra in one of eight hues, four of which are shades of silver or gray, though Nocturnal (black), Renaissance Red, Nitro Yellow, and Downshift Blue should satisfy the craving for color. The base car comes with 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, and active cornering assist. Premium models get red brake calipers, heated leather seats, and a nicer infotainment and audio system. The Launch Edition adds matte wheels, auto-folding red side mirrors, red-trimmed leather sport seats, and special badging to the Premium trim bits. Upgrade packages available so far include Driver Assist, Navigation with JBL audio, and a premium package that combines those two.
