Aston Martin AM-RB 003 will have at least 1,000 hp and a million-dollar-plus price tag

Aston Martin is taking orders on the $1.15 million hypercar currently known as the AM-RB 003. As a result, sales brochures have leaked, as reported by Carscoops and Diario Motor, providing us with details about the new car beyond the limited official information available thus far.

The hybrid drivetrain, based on an all-new twin-turbo V-6, will exceed 1,000 combined horsepower. With that mid-mounted engine driving the back wheels and an electric motor on the front axle, the AM-RB 003 will also have all-wheel drive. For maximum on-road and track performance, the Valkyrie ubercar’s active suspension, active ride height, and “platform control” systems will be carried over to the 003.

Dry weight is listed as just under 3,000 lbs, giving the AM-RB 003 an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 750 brake horsepower per ton. Power from the combustion engine is put to the wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with a limited-slip differential. The 0-60 mph time is quoted to be “less than 2.5 seconds.” Top speed will be in the neighborhood of 220 mph.

Deliveries will begin in 2021. If you’d like to purchase one, you should probably hurry down to your local Aston Martin dealer with your $300,000 deposit as only 500 examples will be built, in both right- and left-hand-drive layouts.
