Subaru Introduces the Limited-Edition BRZ Series.Purple
Subaru is continuing its long-running tradition of releasing “Series”-branded limited-edition models. New for 2025, the BRZ Series.Purple features edition-specific styling cues and a mandatory six-speed stick.
Based on the Limited trim, the Series.Purple is finished in a distinctive new color called Galaxy Purple Pearl. The color alone should tell you what you’re looking at, but here’s a spotter’s guide if you need more hints: Subaru also added satin silver-finished 18-inch wheels and black emblems on the trunk lid.
Step inside and you’ll find Ultrasuede-upholstered Performance-Design front seats with gray bolsters, gray contrast stitching, an aluminum shift knob, and an STI short-throw shifter. This isn’t a stripped-out track rat, however: the list of standard features includes heated door mirrors, an upgrade sound system with two additional speakers and an amplifier, as well as driving aids such as lane-keeping assist.
There’s nothing purple or edition-specific under the hood. Power comes from the same 2.4-liter flat-four that powers the other BRZ trim levels. It sends 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential. While the BRZ Limited can be ordered with a six-speed automatic at an extra cost, the Series.Purple is exclusively offered with the standard six-speed manual transmission.
Production of the 2025 Subaru BRZ Series.Purple is limited to 500 units, and deliveries are scheduled to start early next year. The model is priced at $35,445. For context, the base 2025 BRZ starts at $31,095.
So it’s basically the same car with a nice color and wheels. Not much to move the needle here.
