Scottsdale Auction Results: Barrett-Jackson’s Wednesday sale

Wednesday, for one more night, Barrett-Jackson was the only game in town. The real fun starts today when RM, Russo and Steele, and Bonhams go head to head. Barrett put its monopoly to good use, though, racking up more than $7.6 million dollars in sales to push its two-day total into eight figures at just shy of $12 million.

In keeping with the recent Barrett-Jackson tradition of non-automotive lots being the big moneymakers, tonight’s top sale was a 1948 Chevrolet COE heavy truck that made almost $98,000. There’s still a long way to go to reach the expected $180 million-plus in total sales, but again, the weekend is when the big stuff comes out.

Bonhams, which holds its inaugural Scottsdale sale today, had its preview last night, and the merchandise looked quite good. If a large percentage of lots there sell, look for Thursday’s numbers to start to look quite impressive.

Listed below are the raw results witnessed by Hagerty during Wednesday’s live Barrett-Jackson auction. The numbers do not factor in any post-sale deals that may occur, but they do include the appropriate buyer’s premiums.
