Rides from the Readers: 1957 Corvette

Today’s featured car is a 1957 Corvette, retrofitted with a hot-rodded TPI 383 stroker. The C1 recently made an appearance on our “Best Factory Two-Tone Cars” poll for its classy side coves, and this Cascade Green example is a particularly fabulous spec. It rides on an 1987 Corvette drivetrain complete with independent rear suspension, power steering, and drilled and slotted disc brakes on all four corners. Best of vintage and modern? You tell us!
This convertible belongs to small business owner and Hagerty member Jean Beuning, who spent five years surfing Corvette listings after a picture of a Cascade Green convertible caught her eye. Ironically, the car she found on eBay turned out to be the exact same car that first grabbed her attention. Here’s to happy endings.
